From innovative toolkits and methodology, to hands-on digital crafting and responsive design, we seek to harness the collective knowledge and skillsets of architects, designers, and technologists to share and deliver to the broader community.
CAADRIA 2026 invites proposals for workshops that investigate how computational design and digital fabrication can advance this dialogue. Workshops are invited to explore computation not merely as a technical tool, but as a creative and ethical collaborator that enhances human agency and imagination in the design process. To promote inclusivity and diverse participation, workshop proposals suitable for a wide range of skills and backgrounds are encouraged.
Workshops may range from 1 to 3 days and will take place from 26 April to 28 April, 2026, and should align with the conference theme—Humanistic Computation and Intelligence and topics. Workshops will be held in-person, leveraging facilities and equipment at NYCU and optionally ROSO at Feng Chia University. Teams selected from the open call will lead an average of 6 participants (Min. 4 & Max. 10), and their outcomes will be exhibited at the CAADRIA Conference.
Workshop proposals should include the following:
