Camera-Ready Submission Guidelines

Authors who have had their papers accepted for CAADRIA 2026 are now required to submit the camera-ready manuscript for the final stage of the CAADRIA paper selection process via the OpenConf system.

Before you finalise your submission, read the text below very carefully. Inclusion of final papers in the conference presentations and proceedings publications will be subject to final review by the Paper Selection Committee, and compliance with submission deadlines, formatting guidelines, and payment of the conference registration fee. Papers that do not follow the required formatting will be returned to authors for revision and may be excluded from the proceedings publications.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS for the final formatting of your paper:

  1. All Authors must use THIS TEMPLATE when preparing their camera ready manuscripts. You must strictly follow all guidelines in the CAADRIA template.
  2. Please include your ORCID in the title section of your Manuscript, after your email address. ORCID is a unique ID number for academics that is independent from institutional affiliations, and that allows your work to be easily found by various online research databases such as Google Scholar and Research Gate.If you do not have an ORCID yet, you can easily create one via https://orcid.org/register
  3. For the final production of the papers, we will use an automated process to add page numbers and conference information onto your pages. For this purpose, it is very important that you position the 'white box' that is included in the paper template at the bottom of THE FIRST PAGE of your paper. If the box has somehow moved, you can cut and paste it back to page 1, right click on the boundary and choose 'More Layout Options...' and then under 'Vertical', choose 'Absolute position' - 24 cm (below Page).
  4. Please ensure all previously blinded information in your paper (i.e., author names, affiliations, email addresses, ORCID and acknowledgements) is now included.
Please also pay close attention to format your paper titles and author names in the page headers - as your paper needs to exactly fit the standardised format.
  5. Keywords should be separated by ‘,’ and NOT ‘;’.
  6. When you are ready to submit your paper. Visit the OpenConf system and upload ONE ZIP File. The Zip file must contain ONLY TWO FILES. The first File is your manuscript in Word format (.docx), and the second file is the exact same manuscript in PDF format (.pdf).

Important steps to make sure that the meta-data in the OpenConf system matches your latest paper version:

  1. Login to the system via https://caadria.org/openconf26/openconf.php
  2. Update the original fields you filled in when you submitted your abstract to match the information in your manuscript. If you updated your abstract, make sure you update them in this system. If you updated the author list, details or order, also make sure you update them in the system. All Authors must do the following in the OpenConf system:

    • Updated your Paper Title: If you updated the title of your paper, update it in the OpenConf system, and please use Title Case Capitalization and include title and subtitle, i.e., 'The Title of the Paper, Written in This Format'. For help on Title Case Capitalization, use https://titlecaseconverter.com/ or visit https://apastyle.apa.org/style-grammar-guidelines/capitalization/title-case
    • Update Authors: Any changes to the authors (list, order, names, spelling, details) update them in the system so that they match what you have listed in the manuscript. When updating the authors in OpenConf, please use proper capitalisation, i.e., 'Jane Doe' instead of 'JANE DOE'. Last names should also follow this format, please do not use all capitals.
    • Update Keywords: Please copy-paste the latest version of your keywords as written in the manuscript. Keywords should be lowercased (except proper nouns) and be separated by a comma and a space. Do not add a period at the end.
    • Update the Abstract: Please copy-paste the latest version of your abstract from your Word Doc to the OpenConf field.

We will use the OpenConf paper information to group papers in the proceedings and conference sessions, so accuracy is very important. Please take some time to double-check if everything is correct!

SUBMISSION FILE UPLOADS:
As stated, when you are ready to submit your paper. Visit the OpenConf system and upload ONE ZIP File. The Zip file must contain ONLY TWO FILES. The first File is your manuscript in Word format (.docx), and the second file is the exact same manuscript in PDF format (.pdf).

As a reminder, the deadline for Authors tosubmit their final manuscripts is the 22nd of January 2026.
